Though Freddy may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Freddy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Freddy Jonah Hayes and Rachel Ary Atchison Hayes; his sister Hope Hayes; and his significant other's daughter Sabrina Barfield. He is survived by: his significant other Carolyn Barfield of Macon; his children, Darren L. Hayes (Calynn) of Washington State, Rhonda Palmer (John) of Washington, D. C. and Amy Sims (Joey) of Roberta; and his significant other's son Jason Barfield of Macon. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Glenwood City Cemetery.
