He was predeceased by: his parents, Admiral Dewey Altman and Carrie Williams Altman; his children, George Ray Altman, Jr. and Lizbeth Etheridge; and his siblings, JB Altman, Lonzie Altman, Morris Altman, Willa Mae Raulerson, Mallavene Crawford, Phyllis Upchurch and Pearlie Taylor.
He is survived by: his children, Carrie, Tony and Gail Altman; his grandchildren, Dewey Altman, Ashley Altman, Chassity Andrews, Michael Andrews, Donia Wright, Adam Wright, Courtney Whitcomb, Dalton Whitcomb, Khristayle Etheridge and Luke Timothy Etheridge Jr.; and his siblings, Wilbert Altman (Evelyn), Albert Altman (Laverne), Margaret Altman, Linda Sue Tyre and Peggy Keeves (Bill). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fairhaven Funeral Home (4989 Mt Pleasant Church Rd, Macon, GA 31216). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home (4989 Mt Pleasant Church Rd, Macon, GA 31216). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the North Prong Primitive Baptist Church (94 North Blvd E, Macclenny, FL 32063).
