He was predeceased by : his parents, Marcus Mattox and Esther Irene Bennett Mattox; his wife C. Lynne Mattox; and his brother Jerry Wayne Mattox. He is survived by : his close friend Barry Warren; his sons, Bryan Mattox (Emily) of Byron and Daniel A. Mattox (Crystal) of Macon; his grandchildren, Isaac Nye, Abigail Mattox and Adelyn Mattox; his brother Kent Mattox (Christine) of McDonough, Georgia; his sister-in-law Cheryl Mattox of Augusta, Georgia; and his pet Bella. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
