She was predeceased by: her husband Rance Brown; her daughters, Lynette Oona Brown and Sharon Wesley; her siblings, Minnie Ruth Edwards Brown, Robert Edwards Jr., John Wesley Edwards and Nathaniel Edwards; and her grandson Walter Bernard Wesley Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Vynette Jordan and Betty Woodard (Ronald); her grandchildren, Lynisha McCord (Marcus), Quincy Jordan, Jr., Betty Ann James, Carla Jenkins (Corey) and Latanya Yvette Brown (Travis Sr.); and her sisters, Annie Clara Mercer (Ernest), Nalene Edwards and Mozelle Gore (William). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
