She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Underwood and Hattie Rowland Carpenter; and her husband Daniel Tucker Sams. She is survived by: her children, Wanda Sams, Lisa Kitchens and David Sams; her grandchildren, Lee Seley and Daniel Kitchens; and her brother Oscar Carpenter.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Macon Memorial Park (3969 Mercer University Dr, Macon, GA 31204). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Macon Memorial Park Chapel (3969 Mercer University Dr, Macon, GA 31204).
