She was predeceased by : her parents, Johnny Britton (Debra) and Mary Britton Dellinger (Todd); and her grandmother Hilda (Ally). She is survived by : her siblings, Hilda Emore (Johnny), Evelyn Aderholt (Fred) and Tommy Dellinger; her husband Gene Metcalfe; her children, Gini Ellis (Don), Douglas Metcalfe (Kay) of Macon, GA and Deanna Metcalfe (Terri) of Atlanta, GA; her granddaughter Brittany Ellis of Marietta, GA; and her sisters, Audrey Metcalfe and Ann Carpenter (Danny).

A graveside service was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Zion Baptist Church (403 College Ave, Shelby, NC 28152).
