He is survived by: his children, Melinda Howell (Bill), Chris Kitchens (Danna), Eric Matlock and Aaron Matlock (Cassandra); his grandchildren, Dusty Kitchens (Katie), Brandon Groover, Dylan Groover, Chelsea Groover, Jessica Rynders (Adam), Meredith Staton (Judson), Paizley, Naomi Matlock, Garrison Matlock, David Matlock (Gabriella), Stephanie Matlock and Joseph Matlock; and his siblings, Melody Busbee (Terry) and Terry Kitchens (Lisa). He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Swift Creek Methodist Church (4271 Jeffersonville Rd, Macon, GA 31217). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at the Swift Creek Methodist Church Cemetery (4271 Jeffersonville Rd, Macon, GA 31217).
