He was predeceased by: his parents, Maude Lee Brown and Rufus L. Davidson of Eatonton, Georgia.; and his son Wesley Neil Davidson. He is survived by: his former wife Sandra H. Davidson; his son Dean Leon Davidson (Marcia Maxwell) of Jones County; his wife Clara Judd Mathews; and his stepchildren, Missy Mathews Cumbie (Michael Cumbie) of Lizella, Georgia, Dottie Mathews McCallum (Brad McCallum) of Lizella, Georgia and Mitch Mathews (Christine Dattilo) of Fredericksburg, Virginia.. He is also survived by grandfather and great-grandfather, teaching all of his many grandchildren.
