He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Preston Stokes and Gertrude Shropshire Stokes; his wife Helen Patricia Stokes; his brother Terry Stokes; his children, Cindy, David Stephens, Mike, Stacey Stokes and Tracey Landreth; his grandchildren, Sam, Mary Kathryn Stokes, John Stokes, Christina Stokes, Matthew Day, Bryan, Megan Landreth, Jason, Abigail Landreth, Sara Landreth, Steven Landreth, Shane and DeShanna Stephens; his great grandchildren, Freya Landreth Shepherd Stokes, Dawson and Dayna Stephens; and his sister Sharon Mitchell.
