She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Emanuel and Blanche Balkcom Crooms; and her husband Julian Russell Byrd. She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Long of Macon and Cheryl Lee of Macon; her granddaughters, Wendi Lowrimore (Tim) and Julie Till (Cal); her stepgrandson Patrick Lee; and her great grandchildren, Olivia, Annaleigh and Nikolas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greenwood Baptist Church, 3400 Gray Hwy, Gray, GA 31032.
