It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmie Angus Chitty (Macon, Georgia), who passed away on July 24, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jimmie Angus Chitty to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Clarice Franklin and George Murray Chitty; and his great grandchild Micah Etchison. He is survived by: his wife Carole Brown Chitty; and his children, Mitzi Walker (late Gene) of Stanley, NC, Melinda Marley Boyd of Macon, Georgia, Jim Chitty (Debbie) of Graniteville, SC, Frank Marley (Karen) of Buchanan, VA and Troy Chitty (Tracy) of Gray, GA.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the United Community Church (2411 Heath Rd, Macon, GA 31206). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at the Georgia Memorial Veteran Cemetery (2617 Vinson Hwy, Milledgeville, GA 31061).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association or United Community Church.
