Though John Robert may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He is survived by: his parents, Dr. Hugh McLaurin and Kate McLaurin; his brothers, Dr. Samuel (Jenna McLaurin), Tyler (Amy McLaurin) and Hugh Jr. (Claiborne McLaurin); and his nieces and nephews, Tess, Teddy, Hugh III, James and Margot.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in John's memory to the ASPCA to honor his love and advocacy for animals.
