It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Brantley Colvin (Macon, Georgia), born in Ripley, Tennessee, who passed away on April 12, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father George Decauter; his son Mark Colvin; and his siblings, Dorothy Fine, Don Colvin, Marshall Colvin and Van Colvin.
He is survived by: his wife Sydney Lynette Pinholster Colvin; his sons, Donald Dru Colvin (Monette) of Memphis, TN, Jay of Savannah, GA and Michael Colvin of Savannah, GA; and his brother Carl Colvin (Trudie) of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Joe to Wesleyan Drive Baptist Church, 939 Wesleyan Drive, Macon, GA 31210.
