He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Scott and Pearl Scott; his wife Dolores Scott; his sons, Kendall Scott Jr. and Dwayane Brock (Teresa); and his brother Ruben Scott (Diana).
He is survived by: his children, Dewayne Scott, David Brock (Tammy), Jeff Brock (Ginger), Michael Brock (Shannon), Tracy Allen (Troy), Mary Turner (Jimmy) and Kim Moore (Karl); and his siblings, Horace "Scotty" Scott (Dianne), Patsy Johnson (Eugene) and Janet Ameddee (Whitney). He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins.
