He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Helton and Joyce King Setser; and his daughter Cynthia Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Nancey Helton; his children, Richard Helton (Melanie), Glen E. Phillips Jr. (Debbie), Tara Deedrick (Greg) and Johnny C. Ussery; and his brother Don King (Maryellen).
