Lu leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Lu’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Hanner and Evelyn Poplin Hanner. She is survived by: her husband Mike Peacock; her brother Richard; her sister-in-law Myra Hanner; her niece Betsy Hanner; and her nephews, Charlie Hanner and Dan Hanner. She is also survived by her family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Snow's Mem (3969 Mercer University Dr, Macon, GA 31204). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Methodist Home for Children and Youth, 304 Pierce Avenue, Macon, GA 31204, or to the charity of the donor's choice in Lu's honor.
