She was predeceased by : her parents, Jack Thomas Mathews and Sue Wilson Mathews; her brother Guy Mathews; and her uncle Emory Wilson. She is survived by : her aunt Tot Martin; her cousin Nita Keys; her niece Brandi Cotnoir; her nephew Brad Mathews; and her sister-in-law Marty Cates.

A graveside service was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Oaklawn Cemetery (720 S Camellia Blvd, Fort Valley, GA 31030).
