She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Charlie Stuckey and Mildred Mullis Stuckey; and her sisters, Melba Hester and Mylene Davis. She is survived by: her husband Peyton Eugene "Gene" Balkcom; her children, Angie Benfield (Adam) of Juliette, Georgia and Greg Balkcom (Carmen); and her grandsons, Joshua Benfield of Juliette and Alexander "Alex" Balkcom (Ashley). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church Building Fund, 7015 Rivoli Road, Macon 31210, or to the Alzheimer's Association.
