We announce the death of Michael Courtney of Macon, Georgia, who passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 74. Michael will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Michael will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Michael’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Courtney and Marie Davidson; his wife Sara Lavon Courtney; and his brother Bobby Courtney. He is survived by: his children, Jason Courtney and Jennifer Courtney; and his pets, Chase and Roscoe. He is also survived by the grand cat; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens (7070 Houston Rd, Macon, GA 31216).
