He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Benjamin and Mattie Louise Moore Hinson; and his brother Michael James "Rabbit" Hinson. He is survived by: his wife Belinda Hinson of Jones County; his son Mitch Hinson, Jr. (Amy) of Macon; his grandchildren, Abby of Macon and Huntley Hinson of Macon; and his siblings, Wylene McEleheney of Jones County, Patsy Houston of Jones County, Ronnie Hinson (Vickie) of Jones County and Dianne Hinson of Jones County. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
