He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Hattaway and Rosa Pearl Pope Hattaway; his former wife Madeline Greene Hattaway; and his grandson Clint Stokes. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Stripling Hattaway; and his siblings, Larry Hattaway (Elizabeth) and Lillian Carter. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
