He is survived by: his wife Ellen Wright Mims; his children, Timothy Scott Mims, Richard Calvin Mims III (Melessa), Alexander Wright Mims, Hannah Grace Mims, Emmalee Louise Mims, Mckenzie Lea Borders and Christopher Michael Smith; his grandchildren, Abigail Ellen Mims, Zoie Marie Weaver, Zackary Bryson Laster, Richard Calvin Mims IV, Marleigh Elizabeth Mims, Seylore Alexander Mims and Stella Lillian Mims; and his siblings, Franklin Alexander Mims, David Neill Mims and Mary Katherine Mims Hall. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to his daughter Hannah Grace Mims for expenses.
