He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeems F. Hayes and Evelyn M. Hayes; his brother Jeems Hayes, Sr.; his brother-in-law Jerry Claxton; and his pets, Jimmy and Wyatt.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Hayes; his children, Ricky Hayes, II (Codi), Ryan C. Hayes (Amber), Nick Gibson (Amy), Katie Cluff (Bob), Melissa Borders (Kevin) and Ashley Long (Jonathan); his sister Vicki Claxton; his mother-in-law Eva Slappey; his sisters-in-law, Debbie Mashburn and Cathy Lenderman (Raymond); and his nephew Jeems Hayes. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren.
