He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Lawson Blount, Sr. and Hattie Frances Johnson Blount; his wife Marie Dolena Gracie Blount; and his children, Patricia "Cissy" Blount, Tony Blount, Nick Blount (Angela) and Maurice "Reecie" Blount.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly Blount Wynne and David Blount; his grandchildren, Matthew Lawson Wynne (Teagan), Dennis Blount (Amanda), Rebecca Ruddick (Nathan) and Katie Johnson (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Amden Blount, Madison Wynne, Avi Leigh Blount, Rylee Johnson, Zoey Johnson, Daphne Ruddick and Jack Ruddick; and his siblings, Dorothy Shepard (late Alfred), Sammy Blount (Voncille) and Brenda Brock (Pastor L. R.).
