He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Boyd and Rhoda L. Tharpe Boyd. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Driskell Boyd; his children, Jeffrey Driskell, Valerie Cuyler, Corroll Driskell, Lisa Boyd, Sharon Boyd Piper and Christina Boyd; and his siblings, Elvenia Boyd-Lewis, John Lee Body and Mildred Boyd Blinder. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the New Hopewell Baptist Church (4011 Hopewell Church Rd, Jeffersonville, GA 31044). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 11th 2026 at the Macon Memorial Park Cemetery (3969 Mercer University Dr, Macon, GA 31204).
