She was predeceased by: her parents, Edith Stone Work and Dr. Samuel Dewitt Work, Jr.; and her husband Dr. Dempsey S. Brown, Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, Brad Brown (Jan) and Kevin Brown (Angie); her grandchildren, Amelia Barth (Addison), Griffin Brown and Hunter Brown; and her great grandchild Caroline Barth.
