He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen E. Sturek and Stella Sturek; his brothers, Richard and Robert (Carol Rossiter); and his daughter Jenifer Sturek.
He is survived by: his son Jay Sturek; his grandchildren, Stephen, Michael, William and Luna; his stepsons, Sonny and Guy Albers; his stepgrandchildren, Carolanne, Claire and Righteous; and his siblings, Cliff (Dottie), Joe Sturek (Sharon), Mary Ann Sturek and Marge Harman (Steve).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Snow's Memorial Chapel (1419 Bass Rd, Macon, GA 31210). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Iowa State University Foundation in Steve's name.
