She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. Bivins and Gladys Stubbs Bivins; her brothers, Carlton Bivins, Phil A. Bivins, William T. "Billy" Bivins and Larry Bivins; and her grandparents, Tom A. Stubbs, Rosa Etheridge Stubbs McDowell, Jack C. Bivins and Mattie Skinner Bivins.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bonnie L. Pierce (Michael Tracey) of Edenton and Sherri L. Pierce of Ellijay, Georgia; her grandchildren, Maya C. Edelstein of Portland, Oregon and Pierce Edelstein of Newburgh; her pets, Waldo of Ellijay and Marley of Edenton; and her sisters-in-law, Helen C. Bivins of Augusta, Pat C. Bivins of Macon, Marianne E. Bivins of Gray and Sue P. Ness of Macon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
