He is survived by: his wife Annie Prince Tate; his daughter Dr. Stephanie Tate-Patterson (Micah); his stepchildren, George Prince (Donna) and Zabrina Prince-Kelly (Ernest); his grandchildren, Regis DeVeaux (Brianna), Taylor Tate, Bry Edwards (Mickie), Micah Patterson III, Kameryn Patterson, Landon Patterson, Angelica Smith, Jade Prince-Kelly, Keri Prince-Kelly, Miles Prince and Farrah Prince; his great grandchildren, Terry Thompson, Ia DeVeaux, Amira Dowdell, Akiva Smith, Natalia Carter, Khyrie Prince-Kelly and Bryson Prince-Kelly; and his siblings, Bernard Griffin Tate and Laura E. Tate.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Elberton Civic Center (148 College Ave, Elberton, GA 30635).
