He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Bowdre Winkel; his daughter Tammie Sampson (Travis); his granddaughters, Lyncoln Sampson of Keystone Heights, Florida and Rylee Davis (Casey) of Palatka, Florida; his brother-in-law J. Birch Bowdre (Karon) of Birmingham; his nephews, John B. Bowdre III (Cayla) of Huntsville and Alexander Barrett Bowdre (MaryLou) of Montgomery; and his great-nephews, Everett Birch Bowdre and Benjamin Dennis Bowdre.
