William Ashley Barfield Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Ashley Barfield of Macon, Georgia, born in Doerun, Georgia, who passed away on January 1, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis E. Barfield, Sr. and Mary E. Coleman Barfield; and his brothers, Wendell Barfield and Don Barfield. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Irene Raughton Barfield; his children, Shawn Barfield, Jerry Barfield and Rhonda Childs (Derek); his granddaughters, Victoria Embs (Tristan) and Emily Graham; his great grandchild Jameson Embs; his stepsons, Wayne Hulette (Fulvia), Danny Hulette (Valerie) and Jeffery Hulette (Tori); his siblings, Laquita Ratliff, Curtis Barfield, Jr. (Patricia), Jackie Norris (Lloyd), Virginia Wilson and Karen Holland (Jim); and his siblings-in-law, Betty South and Byron Raughton. He is also survived by 11 step-grandchildren; 16 step-great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19, social distancing and masks are strongly encouraged for all services.
