He is survived by: his sons, William Harold Greer, III (Hal) and George Smith Greer (Anna) of Macon; his wife Martha H. Peace; his stepson Britt Peace (Maria) of Atlanta; his grandchildren, Maggie, Harry, Eli, Kate and Hank Greer of Macon; and his brothers, Jake Greer (Rosalyn) and Lee Greer (Joan) of Spartanburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Peachtree United Methodist Church in Atlanta or Christ Episcopal Church in Macon.
