He is survived by: his wife Denny; his children, Rusty, Shane and Jennifer; his children-in-law, Shelly, Mary Clare and Carl; his grandchildren, Alex, Levi, Ella, Everett, Emerson and Graysen; and his great grandchildren, Birdie, Casen, Tal and Kit.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the A. E. Carter Funeral Home (1670 Atlanta Hwy, Madison, GA 30650). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Madison Baptist Church (7020 A C Skinner Pkwy #100, Jacksonville, FL 32256).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
