She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Hamilton "C. H." Hammett; her parents, Adner Holcombe and Jonnie Holcombe; and her sisters, Opal Walker and Melba Harris.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Hammett Whitehead and Lewis Hammett (Linda Smith Hammett); her grandchildren, Steven Whitehead (Angel), Kimberly Whitehead Moon (Ronnie) and Matthew Hammett; and her brother John Holcombe.
