She was predeceased by: her parents, Gregory Cousins and Roberta Cousins; and her brother Mark Cousins. She is survived by: her husband Lawrence W. "Larry" Smith; her children, Shana Johnson, Lindsay Desautels (Jason), Kiel Johnson (Romina), Erin Nessmith (Tyler) and Sarah Clouse (Landon); her grandchildren, Bryce, Baylee Desautels, Brantley, Aubrey Nessmith, Jasper (Nina), Brielle, Ezra, Oliver and Gwenyth Clouse; and her siblings, Dale Cousins (Cathy) and Karen Turchyn.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Covenant Park Church (1111 Mary Magnan Blvd, Madison, GA 30650). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 29th 2026 at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery (37 Lombard Rd, Caribou, ME 04736).
