He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan Gilman Thompson, Jr. and Corinne Ann Sir Thompson; and his sons, Daniel John Thompson and David John Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Dawn Thompson of Manchester, GA; his daughter Michele Woodley; his granddaughter Charotte; and his sister Sue Mehan (William "Bill" Thompson).
