He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles B. Wheeler, Sr. and Elizabeth Lee McKoy Wheeler; and his significant other Mary Frances Ingram Wheeler. He is survived by : his son Harris McKoy Wheeler, Jr. of Marietta, GA; his brother Chuck Wheeler (Faye) of Fayetteville, GA; and his nephews, Bart Wheeler (Kristie) and Garry Wheeler.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mayes Ward-Dobbins Marietta Chapel (180 Church St, Marietta, GA 30060). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church of Marietta (148 Church St, Marietta, GA 30060).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Go Fund Me Account, "Donate in Memory of Harris Wheeler" for Harris Wheeler, Jr., Harris's beloved son, to assist him financially as he begins to navigate his new life.
