He was predeceased by : his parents, Dennis Eli Hardy (Julia Gertrude Rakestraw) and Julia Gertrude Rakestraw Hardy; and his siblings, Margaret Durham, Joyce Walton, Jonelle Dupree, Joan Ratteree, Romaine Hardy and David Hardy.

He is survived by : his wife Maureen Hardy; his daughters, Valerie Hall, Amy Womack (Michael) and Miss Elizabeth "Liz" Hardy; his grandchildren, Whitney Boring (Josh) and Dustin Womack; and his great grandchildren, Analeise Boring and Melody Boring.
