She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie E. Gibson and Viola Gibson; her husband Charles Marshal Monroe; her sons, Charles Marcus and Robert Gibson; and her brother Charles David Gibson.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Christopher and Lauren. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
