He is survived by: his daughters, Dianne Shell Hylton and Elaine Shell White (Morris); his grandchildren, Jennifer Roberts (Doug), Laurel Henson (Matt), Chad Gilbert (Maggie), Katie Pilson, Andrew White (Jeanette), Steven White (Sarah) and John Thomas White (Alli); his great grandchildren, Avery, Jacob, Tyler Austin, Joe, Susan Henson, John Douglas (JD), George Roberts, Seamus, Declan Gilbert, Noah, Ella Jo Pilson, Addley Hylton, Madelyn, Anna Lewis, Olivia White, Eleanor (Nora), Clara White, Hudson, Haddon and Helen White; and his grandchildren, Lark, Justin and Jason Hylton.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Long's Chapel Methodist Church (133 Old Clyde Rd, Waynesville, NC 28785).
