He was predeceased by: his parents, James Weir Nash and Gladys Rebecca Wright Nash of Smyrna; and his brother James Wright Nash. He is survived by: his sister Rebecca Nash Paden; and his sibling's children, Russell Donald King, Anna King Norris of Marietta, James Weir Nash II of Sandy Springs, Rebecca Nash Petty of Austin and Sarah Richardson Nash of Edgewater. He is also survived by ten grand nephews and nieces.
