He was predeceased by: his parents, Judge Casey Thigpen and Sarah Thigpen; and his wife Anne. He is survived by: his children, Aurieanne, Bob Sneed, Jane and Todd Copeland; and his grandsons, Robert Alexander Sneed, III, Hunter Lawson Sneed and Michael Ivan Copeland.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to either Asbury Theological Seminary or the Murphy Harpst Children's home.
