She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Gilstrap and Hattie Ogle Gilstrap; her husband Morgan Scoggins; her sisters, Estelle Allgood and Lenora Newell; her daughter Terri Lee Scoggins; and her stepdaughter Teni Gray.
She is survived by: her daughter Deb Veal-Hoover (Joey) of Dallas; her close friend Clyde Vaughn of Royston; and her stepdaughters, Peggy Roland (Sammy) and Sabrina Agurto (Alfredo). She is also survived by extended family, friends, and outdoor cats.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Davis-Struempf Chapel (1975 East-West Connector, Austell, GA 30106). A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
