She was predeceased by: her parent Marie Freeman (Montgomery); her children, Jacqueline, Darlene Montgomery and Stoney Lyons; and her grandchildren, Audrionna Montgomery, Antonio Montgomery and Shakira Montgomery.

She is survived by: her children, Terence Montgomery (Lisa), Michael Lyons, Sr. (Stephanie), Janice Montgomery and Peggy Frazier; her grandchildren, David Montgomery, Caldwell, James Frazier, Jhamarcus Pharaoh, Terence Montgomery, Jr., James Williams III, Michael Lyons, Jr., Jhaelin Lyons, Terra Frazier, Treyonna Fraizer, Jhamiya Jones, Angel Montgomery, Tiffany Sparrow, Nikta Williams, Audriona Lyons, Jhakenda Frazier, Queen Morris, Kayla Frazier and Jhamariya Rodriguez; and her brothers, Artie Montgomery, R. V. Freeman and Sylvester Freeman. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mildred Montgomery's name to St. Jude Hospital.
