He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse David Fischer and Elizabeth Mengel Kelley; his brothers, Charles Fischer and John Fischer; his wife Jill Fischer; his children, Philip Fischer Jr. (Victoria), Michael Harper (Mary Catherine), Rebecca Mistretta (Mike), Matthew Hott (Katy) and Amanda Chaskey (Nate); and his grandchildren, Parker Hott, Ronnie Harper, Ashton Hott, Eddie Harper, Adalie Mistretta, Ellie Chaskey, Luci Harper, Josie Mistretta and Maggie Chaskey.

He is survived by: his sisters, Sue Canale and Libby Gergely.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the American Lung Association in his memory https://action.lung.org.
