He was predeceased by : his parents, Bartow McBride and Vera Holton McBride; his siblings, George McBride, Dorothy McBride Brady (GW), Irvin McBride (Louise) and Troy McBride; and his grandchildren, Richard Crowder and Kelly Crowder Davis (Toby).

He is survived by : his wife Jean; his children, Jeff McBride (Sheila) and Laurie Newman (Randy); his grandchildren, Travis Newman, Adam Newman (Emme), Elana Newman and Elizabeth Crowder Farr (Chris); his great grandchildren, Malcolm Crowder (Destiny) and Madison Farr; and his brother Gene McBride (Carlene). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the West Cobb Funeral Home & Crematory (2480 Macland Rd, Marietta, GA 30064). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the West Cobb Funeral Home (2480 Macland Rd, Marietta, GA 30064).
