He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edward and Mary Elizabeth Callaway; his former wife Marla Jean Morrison Callaway (Jeanie); his son David Merrill Garrison; his sister Betty Harden; and his grandson Holt Garrison.
He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Callaway (Lisa), William Edward Callaway (Bill) and Richard Jackson Callaway (Jack); his wife Carol Awtrey Garrison; and his son Jeffrey Holt Garrison (Jennie). He is also survived by his wife, four children, twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and much-loved nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Homes (180 Church St, Marietta, GA 30060). A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (189 Church St, Marietta, GA 30060).
