He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Gilbert and Dorothy V. Stancil Ayers; and his sister Karen Ayers Gordon. He is survived by: his wife Patty Griffin Ayers; his aunts and uncles, Lonora Walters, Wilma Davis, Nancy Peeples (Barry), Deborah Sellers, Mary Swift, Frank Stancil and Mike Griffin (Cheri); his sibling's children, Kala Griffin, Dena Griffin, Dustin Griffin and Douglas Sellers (Tasha); his great-nephew Abel Griffin; and his great-nieces, Halee Sellers, Natalee Sellers and Kaylee Sellers.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Whitlock Mortuary (120 Rose Ln, Toccoa, GA 30577). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary (120 Rose Ln, Toccoa, GA 30577).
