She was predeceased by: her parents, Roosevelt Padgett and Gwendolyn Padgett; her husbands, Gene Whittenbarger and Russell Postelle; her siblings, Mary Shields and Ray Padgett; and her son-in-law Eddie Panter.
She is survived by: her children, Renny Whittenbarger (Tamara) and Gwen Panter; her granddaughters, Kristin Allen (James) and Kellie Postell (Daniel); her great grandchildren, Abigail and Gabriella Postell; and her sisters, Libby Thomas and Jenny Pittman (Butch). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Flowers are accepted as well as donations can be made in Rose's memory to Calvary Chapel Christian School of Blue Ridge.
