He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Alexander and Lizzie Mae Alexander (Gunter); his former wife Cynthia Ann Phillips Alexander; and his siblings, Robert Alexander (Bob) and Reba Oberg.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his son Arthur McDonald (Carolyn Alexander); his sister Nell Boulware of Charette, NC; and his caregiver Ardasha Johnson. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren serval nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Glen Haven Baptist Church.
